Heather Jones is datatickler. She grew up in Southern California, as a natural blonde.
After sweeping the All Area Regional Spelling Bee at 14, she became a beginning bonsai
gardener and novice equestrienne. She attended the University of California at Santa Barbara, with a focus on liberal arts and art history, then headed south to downtown Los Angeles and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Photography from Otis Parsons School of Art & Design, with Dean's Honors. She also attended design courses at UCLA, and worked as photo studio manager, custom cibachrome printer, and darkroom instructor.
After surviving the riots, fires and earthquakes, ( oh my! ) she escaped to New York City and spent 12+ years in magazine, book, web and digital tablet publishing as Art Director and
in-house illustrator. She is currently working like a dawg, illustrating infographics and happily puttering around the kitchen in her Brooklyn loft. She has two Japanese fighting fish, Scout and Chicken, and hopes to become an expert bocce player someday. She loves numbers, charts, maps, and diagrams. And to make people giggle.
